Mayor of Abingdons Festiball
The Mayor of Abingdon-on-Thames, Cllr Jan Morter is hosting this year’s formal gathering that we are calling a ‘Festiball’ – A South Pacific themed, festival feel evening!
Whilst the main aim is to raise funds for her 2 charities, we also hope to have some fun. There is something for everyone!
A string Quartet of the highest quality will serenade you at the Champagne reception.
Entertainment will include Prima Ballerina, Rebecca Scanlon, local girl made good.
Comedy Opera Singer Simon Grey, and after an interlude where there might be some audience participation, dancing to the strains of the ‘Morter Boys and the Hawaiian Coconuts’, who will play tunes from all decades. All set in a beautiful grade 2 listed barn, surrounded by farmland, and festival style food and drink vans from where you can purchase sustenance.
