Memorial Service for Mr John Tamplin – New Date – Abingdon on Thames Town Council

Please note the new date of the Memorial Service for Mr John Tamplin is:

12 noon on Friday 16th March at St. Helen’s Church, OX14 5BS, followed by refreshments at the Crown and Thistle, 18 Bridge St, Abingdon OX14 3HS.

John passed away in February at the age of 85. He was a Town Councillor from 1999 to 2003 and was Mayor’s Escort to his late wife Audrey during 2002-2003. He leaves his daughter Jane, son-in-law Marc and son Richard.

John will be fondly remembered by all who knew him for his humour and kindness and, in particular, for his great determination to lead as active a life as he could following a serious and life changing stroke.
