Music in the Park wristbands two thirds sold
Councillors have asked that the public be clearly told that Music in the Park wristbands may not be on sale for much longer. As in previous years the demand is looking like it will outstrip the available number of places which are limited for safety reasons. This year the selling of wristbands online appears to have increased the speed at which wristbands are selling and 30% of sales have been though the online sales site even though there is a booking fee when ordering wristbands this way. For those who wish to pay by card this is the way to get your wristbands and you can select whether to pay for a postal delivery or come and collect from the Town Council’s Visitor and Community Information Centre.
However for cash payers and those who want to avoid booking fees then there is still the option to come into the Visitor and Community Information Centre Monday to Saturday 9.30am to 3pm to purchase from the counter.
The wristbands are predicted to sell out around 28th May on the current rate of sale. Sponsors Davis Tate are delighted that the event is clearly more popular than ever. The friendly local estate agent’s office in the High Street is manned by staff who are Abingdon residents and work hard to be a part of the community. “We’re also looking forward to Fun in the Park earlier on the same day” said Stewart Simpson, Sales Manager, “as we’re hoping to raise awareness and funds for our chosen charity the Amber Phillpott Trust.”
