Crowds enjoy Fun in the Park

The people of Abingdon-on-Thames took advantage of the sunny weather, and turned out in force to the town’s annual family day. Held in the Abbey Grounds, on the site of Abingdon’s historic abbey, several thousand people enjoyed the mixture of stalls, entertainment and children’s activities laid on by the Town Council.As always, the many thriving clubs and societies in the town were well represented with stalls ranging from the swimming club, to the green gym, to the town twinning society, to name a few. Our military community stationed at Dalton Barracks were also well represented and the junior assault course they were hosting was particularly popular.
